At Synergy4WBO, we are committed to changing this narrative. Our mission? To redefine what business leadership looks like for Black women, helping them step into their power and reclaim their space.
The Systemic Challenges Black Women Face
Black women entrepreneurs have faced an uphill battle for far too long. Structural inequalities, such as racial and gender biases, still permeate business industries, leading to fewer opportunities for funding and networking. According to a 2020 study, Black women receive less than 1% of venture capital funding, despite their growing entrepreneurial presence.
This is where Synergy4WBO steps in. We recognize that breaking these systemic barriers requires more than hard work—it demands a community of support, access to resources, and mentorship from women who have already overcome similar obstacles.
Redefining Leadership: From Surviving to Thriving
At Synergy, we believe that leadership isn’t just about surviving against the odds—it’s about thriving. We work to create an ecosystem where Black women can flourish, supporting one another and sharing knowledge. By pairing emerging entrepreneurs with mentors who have lived experience, we empower them to not only break through ceilings but to build their own frameworks for success.
Our mentors have overcome countless challenges and are living proof that it is possible to thrive in environments that were not designed with them in mind. They guide the next generation of Black women entrepreneurs through the complexities of funding, leadership, and building sustainable businesses. By showing that success is not only possible but achievable, these mentors redefine what it means to be a business leader.
