My name is Vanity Barr-Little and I was born and raised in Clinton, South Carolina. Today, I inspire and empower people in achieving their personal and professional goals through a diverse range of small businesses. As a multi-passionate business owner, I thrive on creating opportunities, fostering growth, and driving excellence across my small business enterprise.

As the founder and CEO of VANBAR Holdings, I manage a diverse portfolio of successful small businesses, including the CNA Training & Testing Center, Reliable Livescan, and multiple Sylvan Learning Centers. Each of these ventures has been recognized by their respective Chambers of Commerce for business excellence, a testament to our commitment to quality and community service.

Before embarking on my entrepreneurial journey, I served in the United States Air Force, earning numerous unit and individual accolades such as two Air Force Achievement Medals with four oak leaf clusters, two Air Force Commendation Medals, an Iraqi Campaign Medal with a bronze star, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, AF Longevity Service Medal, and the Korean Defense Service Medal.

My last military assignment was at MacDill Air Force Base as a military justice paralegal; however, prior to that assignment I was stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson as a Defense paralegal, solely responsible for all paralegal and office management functions for the Office of the Area Defense Counsel delivering defense services to more than 6,000 members. My military assignments also include Minot AFB, ND, Osan AB, S. Korea, Guam AFB, Guam USA, Langley AFB, VA, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC, JBER Anchorage, AK, Qatar AB.

Aside from my military service, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Business, and my various business endeavors, one of the most empowering experiences in my life was having a home birth. This experience was profoundly liberating. 

I am also a BG5 consultant, certified in 2025. BG5 is an innovative consulting model that is a synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern science designed to reveal the hidden potential in our work, career, teams, organizations and businesses.

I’m incredibly honored to have been named a recipient of the 2024 Enterprising Women of the Year Award, a prestigious global recognition for successful women entrepreneurs. Additionally, I was featured in the 2022 and 2023 volumes of the Tampa Bay KNOW Women editions, celebrating ambitious, influential women in the community.

I am a happy wife and proud mother of four boys ages 14, 11, 8, 2.
