Sarah began her food journey at 12 years old when her family purchased a pizza shop where she grew up in Dover, DE. Throughout her teenage years she learned and grew into the customer service expert she has become today. In college she developed her love for coffee working at a small coffee shop in Philadelphia, PA. Her love for people and coffee is what brought her to eventually open the Dandelion Café. After earning her degree in Industrial Design from the University of the Arts she began to pursue product design positions. She landed a job working for Fuji Bicycle for several years where she traveled to Asia frequently to oversee production.

 

After leaving that position, she eventualy settled into Houston with a job in the oil industry. Several years later she began to become restless and eventually decided to leave the oil industry and go back to her roots in the hospitality industry. For a few years she worked as an event manager for several catering companies. 

 

She began to dream of having her own place like her family did growing up. She had always wanted a brunch place that felt like you were eating in a garden. With that she dreamed up the Dandelion Café.
